My opinion:
Not only is the art gorgeous, but the story sends a warming message to readers. The main characters are all relatable, and the entire manga as a whole is just adorable. It has a deeper meaning that takes you along with Hikage as you watch her blossom into the person she wants to be. It softly shows you life's harder moments, and how being with others can get you through them. I have read many shoujo manga that have no plot and are comprised of one girl who has multiple guys falling for her. However, this manga goes much, much deeper and explores life and the very core of relationships. It will make you laugh and tug at your heartstrings at the same time. This is one manga that is an absolute MUST READ for its well-rounded excellence.


For people who think Hikage is winy:

"A person is very weak when he's by himself. But if he has friends to support him, if he has friends to cherish him... He can become as strong as he wants to be."

She's weak like that, yes. But she wants to change. That's why she's so sad and so easily knocked down, it's because she wants it so much that it hurts! If anyone can say that she's so pitiful then you don't know what it's like to be ignored, not even noticed. It's a horrible feeling. One can't even speak up if someone is using their seat. It's a horrible existence when you want to be known by a few friends. Haven't you ever considered that there's someone even weaker, who can give up so much easier?
I was like Hikage once.

This was a very sweet & lovely manga... and even though it's listed in the "drama" genre, there's actually not much drama-- it was a very light-hearted read in my opinion. And the length (3 volumes) seems just right for this particular story. Overall, it left me with a very warm, happy feeling.

My opinion:
The first story (Love Lab) was cute, but I felt that the main character ignored the heroine too much, and his reasons weren't that good... The second story (Merry Kiss) was lovely, and sweet, but could have been much better. I felt that things weren't explained about the main character and the ending was too rushed. The third story (Perfect Doll) was good and enjoyable, but the ending was abrupt. It felt incomplete, like it might have a continuation. Twinkle Twinkle (4th story) reminded me a little too much of Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, which is a great series. The story was good, but it also felt incomplete. The ending wasn't good because it wasn't really an ending. The last story (Cupid's Arrow) was really fun. I wish it could have been longer though because I would have wanted to see more development between the "cupid" and Aya. Overall, it was a nice collection of cute, fun stories.

My opinion:
I've read tons of shoujo mangas but KFL is still the best.
It's romantic, it's cute, and the artwork is simply beautiful.

And unlike some great addictive romance mangas out there, KFL didn't have the two main characters breaking up all the time, if you know what I mean. Sometimes I'm just reading a manga and I feel that everyone is trying to break the two main characters up. KFL had it's ups and downs but there was never anything totally heartbreaking.

It may be considered a typical shoujo manga, but it's quite realistic in it's own way.
That's another reason why I liked this manga, it was realistic for two people in love. There were unrealistic parts of course (what else do you expect from a cute romance manga?), but KFL talked about how Karin and Kiriya got together from the beginning to the end. There were also family and work problems, which adds to the reality of this manga.

The relationship development between Karin and Kiriya is very detailed. You get to see how they get closer to each other each step of the way. The mangaka doesn't miss a single moment. Not many manga's are blended with a sense of innocence/cuteness and seriousness while still focusing on the romance genre completely. I loved the fact that it was completed by the time I started reading it so I didn't have to wait for the scanlations -.-" And the ending was not rushed like some mangas, it was clear and straightforward. This manga can really make a girl feel all sweet inside, some of the romantic moments are too cute for words <3333 This manga is an inspiration to those of us looking for our one true love.

Hello everyone,

I'm back and taking update 3 with me^^
As you guys can see I changed the look of my blog completly. I was really done with the green cirkels from blogger. This is more my own style. I didn't make it though.

This manga disappointed me...really..I mean, the title is called "Moon of a One-sided Love" not "Moon of a Love that Could Turn Out to be Mutual" I really liked the first couple of chapters because it shows the realistic nature of unrequited love and how painful things can be but then the mangaka just changes everything to make things happy for everyone. It was just a very idealized rush to me.

I only read the first volume from Bird Kiss so I don't know the complete story line. I simply disliked the drawings. Couldn't read past it. Normally the storyline keeps me going, Bird Kiss seems to be a slow starter or something.

Mai and Yu-kun are a bit of a missmatch, but a real loveable one. When Mai finally get's some attension from Yu, the big question comes up: Does he really love her?

Another romantic story from the writher of 24 colors. I liked it a lot. It might be a bit dump at some points, but really wirth reading!

Yui acts like a real crybaby when her "older brother" gets married, but she helps Kaoru with his own tears. When she moves into the boy's dorm, Kaoru can't stand her. I think it was kind of funny seeing Kaoru falling in love. he's really selffish!

My opinion:
I found the story in the beginning a bit confusing. All the names are trown opon you and it's hard the see which boy they are talking about. But when I was over that part, I got more into the story. It's really good!
Meiko is really confused about the awakaning kiss and Shinoda-senpai doesn't make it any easier with all the lies en misteries. But does it really mather who it was? Isn't love more important?
Read it people! it's a 10+ manga!

My opinion:

I've seen the anime before I read the manga, but I enjoyd it. Hideki is a perverted boy which gives many laughing scene's and embarrising as well. The manga and the anime are the same most parts. 2-3 episodes are different. So it didn't give me a new view of Chobits.

I think that people who have seen the anime shouldn't read the manga as well. It doesn't give you another point of view and the anime is more fun the watch.

Conclusion: Watch the anime rather then read the manga.

Next to Mermaid Melody comes another story from Hanamori Pink. Those who read MM will reacognise the art, which is one of my favourites.

I must say that story isn't really different than from Mermaid Melody, but special in its own way. No mermaids this time, but a Miko with 8 gardians, 4 in every world.

Between the gardians are some really cute guys...

I think this is the best I have read form Mitsuki Miko so far. Rensou no Aria is a romantic drama of the kind you have never seen before! The story is original and the gunscenes with Canon makes this readable for boys as well. If I would give points, this would be a 10+!

My opinion:
After "7 period is a secret" and "Kimi to Koi ni Ochiru Mahou de" follows another nice piece of art from Chiba Kozue: 24 colors.
With both of them not able to say their feelings out loud but on paper, Nanaka and Chihaya are making a bit of a mess of there "friendschip". Everything seems to be going wrong and Kento doesn't really help them. I think it's a very good love story, when you like talking via a painting. The ending was a bit weak though.

My opinion:

Another good story from Mitsuki Miko. Aoi Kiseki and Renso no Aria where hitseries as well. Love knife is also one of her bests.

Asahi is a real hanger-on. She doesn't dear to say what she thinks or tell someone how she feels. This brings her in a lot of trouble when she wants to swich boyfriends. Sou looks like the type of guy you don't want to hang around with, but is a real sweetheart when you know him better. A short story with a dramatic thouch.

The 2 sides stories haven't been scanlated.

Sawa joins de judo club as club manager against her will, because the captain says he knows her. If Sawa knows who he is or not, she falls in love with him. Though being the girlfriend of the city's champion get's you in to a lot of trouble. In this story love overcomes all again, but written in a new way with sports. Too bad the 2 short stories haven't been scanlated bij NBM. They whould have been good too.

Hard to keep a relationship secret when you date the son of your fathers boss! Although it's 3 chapters it's a really good smut story. The oneshot tells sort of the same story, also really good.

My opinion:
Standerd idea: Poor girl, but beautiful. Rika is that type of girl, but doesn't care about it. A short story about unpredictable love. Not origanal, but good light readign. The one shot Kimi no Te is worth reading as well, although it contains a bit of smut.

Hello everyone,

With this blog being online for 2 months today, I thought I have a little chat about Manga Ocean.
Manga Ocean is a blog about the manga I have read intill now. I have been reading manga like 2 years now and wanted to share my opinion about it with other manga readers that are with us on the world wide web. A few old ones are already to be found here and as you may have noticed already I'm a shoujo fan. That doesn't mean I don't read any shounen, but I'll be adding more shoujo manga on my blog as we speek.

Also, the discriptions for the manga aren't always mine. I'll credit the people who wrote it for their work. If there is no name, the discription is mine and I would appreciate it if you don't steal it. I'm working hard to make those!

Since last week was springholidays (at my place) I'll be editing 5 short stories today. So you can enjoy those with me. Credit goes to Nagare Boshi Manga for these series!

My opinion:
Although she was brainwashed, Ai still has her own weard taste of clothing. She looks and acts like a rockchick. Her powers combined with her singing voice gives her a lot of trouble, but also a good lovelive. The story might be a little weard, but it's worth reading it.

On the outside, Kusakabe Maron may seem like your average high school girl. But in actuality, Maron is the infamous Kaitou Jeanne (Phantom Thief) and also the reincarnation of Joan of arc. God is slowly losing his power due to the demons that have infected the earth. So it is up to Maron, with God's power to capture these demons (through paintings which also disappear after a capture making her into a kaitou). Maron one day suddenly gains a new classmate and neighbor, Nagoya Chiaki who is quite the womaniser. Later on at night, she comes across her new rival in capturing demons, Kaitou Sinbad. With this, new love blossoms and new problems arise.

My opinion:
I really liked this Manga story. Maron looks like a brave person who has everything under control, but under the though girl as your avarage high school girl, without all the selfconfidence. While playing the part of Joan of arc, she falls in love and sees all her mistakes.
The story is not that psychological. You see more action and romance. I think it's the perfect mix! Really go and read it. 7 volumes is that much.
The anime however isn't really that good. If you like action watch the anime if you like love stories read the manga. The anime lakes a part of it.

My Opinion:
It's a short story I just read and I liked the drama part. There isn't a lot of romance in it since it's 3 chapters long, but it's some light reading when you don't have anything else to do.
The one shots are worth reading too. These are very long one shots and next to the mean story these ARE romantic!

Kyo Aizawa is very excited about getting to attend Seisyu Academy, which is famous for its adorable girls' uniforms. Her spirits are crushed, however, when she opens the package containing her school uniform to find a boy's uniform.
Her father explains to her that, as Seisyu Academy is also famous for its boys' basketball program, he enrolled her as a boy so she can fulfill his own dream of becoming an NBA basketball star. To make matters worse, she has to stay in the boys' dorms, and her roommate, Chiharu Eniwa, is the same boy she came to hate at tryouts.

My opinion:
10 volumes is long for the oneshots readers ammong us, but "Girl got Game" is worth it. Aizawa is really good in being a boy, but her roommate Eniwas makes it hard for her to be a boy. The more they hang out with eachother, the more they fall in love with eachother. Of course that's the problem. Eniwa thinks he's going creazy, falling in love with a boy!
All this gives a lot of funny scenes and that's what makes it worth reading it! Volume 8 and 9 may be a bit long, but get trough it, volume 10 is amazing. (btw: people who like the movie "She's the man!" will love reading it).

Jung Nan Woo--an energetic, though eternally clumsy girl, who like most people who knows him, dreams of going out with the "Prince" of her school, Ryu Seung Ha. Chasing after the perfect prince is definitely not easy.
For Nan-Woo, Seung-Ha was just a dream far, far away. However, sometimes dreams exist to come true! But when Nan-Woo’s dream comes true, it comes at an expensive price. Who knew the perfect prince was actually a big jerk?!

My Opinion:
This was my first manga series next to what I'm reading from Nagare-boshi scanlations. I really liked this series and want to recomment this to everyone! Shoujo is definatelly not the most importend genre from "You're So Cool! ". Jung Nan Woo likes a bit like a boy and really clumsy which makes it fun to read how annoying she is to Ryu Seung Ha. His prince looks makes the story pretty dramatic, which really fits here.
And don't worry about the shounen-ai part. It's just about the uncle of Nan Woo. No details included or something and it's only 3-4 episodes long. You can see it as a site-story.
