Timid and self-conscious high school student Karin never paid much attention to boys until she met Kiriya, a popular student from a nearby boys' school. Karin and Kiriya embark on a romantic journey despite Karin's classmate Yuka's best efforts to sabotage their relationship, but Karin soon learns that living happily ever after isn't on the curriculum when she becomes Kiriya's center of attention, as well as embittered Yuka's bull's-eye on her dartboard of hate.
My opinion:
I've read tons of shoujo mangas but KFL is still the best.
It's romantic, it's cute, and the artwork is simply beautiful.
And unlike some great addictive romance mangas out there, KFL didn't have the two main characters breaking up all the time, if you know what I mean. Sometimes I'm just reading a manga and I feel that everyone is trying to break the two main characters up. KFL had it's ups and downs but there was never anything totally heartbreaking.
It may be considered a typical shoujo manga, but it's quite realistic in it's own way.
That's another reason why I liked this manga, it was realistic for two people in love. There were unrealistic parts of course (what else do you expect from a cute romance manga?), but KFL talked about how Karin and Kiriya got together from the beginning to the end. There were also family and work problems, which adds to the reality of this manga.
The relationship development between Karin and Kiriya is very detailed. You get to see how they get closer to each other each step of the way. The mangaka doesn't miss a single moment. Not many manga's are blended with a sense of innocence/cuteness and seriousness while still focusing on the romance genre completely. I loved the fact that it was completed by the time I started reading it so I didn't have to wait for the scanlations -.-" And the ending was not rushed like some mangas, it was clear and straightforward. This manga can really make a girl feel all sweet inside, some of the romantic moments are too cute for words <3333 This manga is an inspiration to those of us looking for our one true love.
